Konica Minolta to unleash Accurio Pro at NEC

Konica Minolta has revealed that it will use this year’s edition of The Print Show as a platform for the UK unveiling of Accurio Pro, the new brand for its digital workflow and print solutions that it says ensure higher work efficiency and stable print quality.

Konica Minolta had the biggest stand at The Print Show 2015 and will again take the biggest at the 2016 instalment, which runs from October 11th to 13th at Birmingham’s NEC

The digital print giant will be in attendance at the show for a second consecutive year, having re-signed prior to the conclusion of the inaugural event, such was the success of its presence in 2015. Building on this first-year triumph, Konica Minolta has selected The Print Show as the UK event that it will use to launch the new brand in the UK.

Reflecting on the company’s decision to re-sign for the show at such an early point, Bernard Cassidy, market development manager at Konica Minolta said that the company had a number of reasons for doing so.

“The Print Show’s focus on the UK market is particularly relevant,” he said, adding: “For Konica Minolta UK, it provides the perfect platform for us to further cement our position as a market leading production and industrial print solution provider.

“We attended Drupa earlier this year and that exhibition is key in that it enables us to come together as a global brand, but having a dedicated event for our home market, one that brings a number of the key players in our industry together in one place was much needed.

“The Print Show provides the perfect opportunity for us to engage with people face to face, whether that’s to build on already strong existing customer and partner relationships, make new connections, or engage with potential buyers, which is in itself, a very valid reason to exhibit.”

Pulling out the big guns

Unveiled at Drupa, the Accurio Pro brand comprises some of the most effective machinery on offer from the manufacturer, such as its KM1 inkjet press, the Bizhub Press C1100, and Bizhub Press C71hc, which visitors this year will have the opportunity to see in operation.

Cassidy continues: “On our stand we will be demonstrating Accurio Pro Flux and Accurio Pro Color Care in conjunction with the Bizhub Press C1100 and Bizhub Press C71hc, which uses High Chroma toner, delivers bold, intense and vibrant RGB colours and offers a print speed of 71 colour pages per minute.”

Cassidy added that the manufacturer will also show off its software and finishing solutions, which he says are crucial to the overall print production process: “We will demonstrate how Konica Minolta’s software and finishing solutions are integral to ensuring printers get the most value out of their digital presses.

The Bizhub Press C1100 will be one of various machines in operation on the Konica Minolta stand this October
“We will be promoting our partnership with MGI Digital Technology and showcasing the MGI JV3DS i Foil which enables printers to spot varnish digital prints, highlight defined areas or add 3D effects, and with the newly introduced iFoil, printers can further complement these effects with inline embossing and hot foil stamping, with virtually no set-up and at high speeds.

“The SD-513 Saddle-Stitch Finisher which sets new standards in finishing quality and productivity will be making its UK debut at the show. We will be demonstrating how this addresses the demand to produce professional booklets in-line and ready to box, working in conjunction with the Bizhub Press 1250e.”
