DIS, which is the official print partner of Wolves, produced special boxes for the shirt. The packages were then sent to players in Wolves’ first team squad to open and share on social media.

The boxes were printed on a Vutek H3, matt laminated on both sides and cut on DIS’s brand new Esko Kongsberg C64 3.5m-wide cutting machine.

Gloss vinyl overlaminate was applied to the boxes, each of which was then hand-taped and folded, before a closing magnet system was inserted. DIS was able to complete project in just 36 hours.

Dave Purcell, sales director at DIS, told Print Monthly: “We were asked by Wolves to create a box that the players could open at home and to ensure the box had the wow Factor to showcase the shirt.

It was brilliant project to work on and we are very happy with the results

“We believe we achieved the objective perfectly; it was brilliant project to work on and we are very happy with the results.

“Our new Esko C64 really compliments the Vutek H3 we bought last year, so our speed of production, along with our ultra creative approach, will ensure that we continue to strive in these testing times.”

Wolves finished seventh in the 2019-20 English Premier League.
