Staff were able to see a series of demonstrations during the visit and eventually opted for the Magnum Automatic Creaser with feeder from Vivid Laminating Technologies.

Louise Williams, branch manager at Minuteman Press Cardiff, says the company purposely waited for The Print Show so that it could compare and contrast kit options under one roof.

“We waited to buy our new machine until the show as we get to see all the kit in action and there is also have a special show price, which is always a bonus,” she says.

“There were lots of really good creaser machines at The Print Show this year, we were able to have a good look around and have demos. We decided on the Vivid creaser as we were impressed with our Matrix laminator we bought last year, so the quality of the machine we knew would be high and it was also one of the more affordable machines.

“Our old Morgana creaser had creased its last card a few weeks ago and we really have been missing it. A creasing machine is a must have for a busy digital printers, whilst we are a fan of the Morgana folder we were swayed by Vivid’s Sniper technology which we thought was a brilliant idea—in practice we love it too.”

Williams says the company is now looking forward to next year’s show, where it plans to purchase more new kit.

She says: “Next on the list is a sublimation system; we are researching the best options in readiness now for next year.”
