Potts Print and Manroland on the green trail

Carbon Balanced print firm Potts Print has paid tribute to Manroland after equipment from the manufacturer has not only helped bolster production, but is also continuing to enhance the company’s ‘Go Green’ environmental strategy.

The firm has enjoyed rapid growth figures since 2009—boosting turnover from almost £10m in 2009, to an impressive £14m today.

A large part of this growth has been down to the firm’s focus on the environment, which has helped bring in business from like-minded customers that place great importance on green production.

In addition to various environmental schemes with a waste recycling company and the World Land Trust, Potts Print has pointed to Manroland technology as a main benefactor in its green success.

The firm has three Manroland presses in its arsenal—the newest being a Roland 700 Hi-Print device that has chalked up 55m impressions in just two years.

The Roland 700 Hi-Print has really boosted our arsenal of presses and enabled us to take on much greater volumes of work and open up a whole new market place

“The Roland 700 Hi-Print has really boosted our arsenal of presses and enabled us to take on much greater volumes of work and open up a whole new market place,” Potts Print’s head of business development, Tom Groves, explains.

Describing the Manroland kit as ‘ultra-efficient’, the firm also says it helps reduce unnecessary waste across the board.

Various green features on the 700 model assist with issues such as emissions, evaporation, fine particles, ink mist, special waste, and energy.

With a green strategy in place, and the support of environmentally-friendly equipment to back it up, Potts Print seems set to continue to grow and bring in more custom as it progresses with its sustainable service.
